Amazing book that breaks down the basics of Christianity, which helped me reinforce my beliefs. The way the book progresses is very logical: it starts off with breaking down the reason for Christianity through an analysis of the moral law. It then moves onto the core of what Christians believe, eventually progressing into how it affects our behavior and living. The last section delves more into specifics of theology, which can be a bit confusing at first but helps answer a lot of questions. After reading this book, I found myself with a much more logical understanding of my faith.
I had a chance to talk with my parents more openly about Christianity this break. After I gave them a copy of Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis as a Christmas gift, they started to ask me questions about my faith and what the book was about, because they also saw me reading it. I had a chance to share the gospel message with them, as well as answer some questions they had. While they are still hesitant on accepting all that I told them, I am thankful that we had this opportunity to open up, and my father is currently reading through Mere Christianity. Hopefully more conversations like these are to come in the future!
